Service Description

What will I learn? Glass Cutting and breaking Designing a fused glass piece Assembling a fused glass piece for firing A variety of glass fusing techniques depending on your design   What can I make? In our 1 day workshop we have a little more time to be a touch more ambitious with our designs. You may wish to make a tea light holder in the morning and a sun catcher in the afternoon. Or if you have a specific idea in mind then let us know and we can advise you if we can make it in the time permitted. The workshops are flexible so we will try and cater for what you want to make or offer suggestions if you feel there is too much choice.   Example you can choose from 2 of the following items to make on your workshop. 2 x 10cm square coasters 2x Sun catchers (approx. 3cm x 15cm) 1 tealight holder 1 light catching picture Christmas decorations Jewellery set   All the items that you make during the workshop will be yours to keep. Once the item’s have been fired through our kiln, we will notify you that they are ready to collect. We can arrange postage of the item’s if required. Most items will be ready within 2 weeks however this can often be sooner. We have some dates for these workshops planned throughout the year, however we can run them as and when required. We can do midweek, weekends so we can be flexible on availability. The workshops are run by glass artist Greig Black. Greig has over 25 years of working in the glass industry. More importantly he knows how to share this information with others in a form that is easy to pick up in a fun and enjoyable way.   What’s Included in the price?
